The Roles
Have you ever wondered what it’s like to be a Head of State and to discuss pressing matters of the EU agenda? At Brussels MEU you have to possibility to stand in the shoes of a Head of State and to defend their interests in an international setting. Together with 27 peer-students you will debate and try to find solutions on a consensus-based debate to implement the Eastern Partnership.
The high-level debates of intergovernmental cooperation at ministerial level in Europe happen in the Council of the European Union. Do you want to work as a Minister of a European Member State in a debate where decisions are taken by the European Union’s characterising qualified majority procedure? The Council of the European Union might be exactly what you are looking for!
Do you like ideological clashes and dynamic debates about European policies? In the European Parliament you will be able to push European Policies in the direction of the parliamentary group of your choice while exchanging knowledge and critical impressions on the European Union in the biggest committee of the conference.
Are you intrigued by underlying motives of politicians and do you want to analyse and report the activity of participants during sessions? As a journalist you will have exclusive access to all committees to attend and report the progress made. You will also be able to publish press statements and interview participants.
